Welcome to 'In Charley's Memory'

In Charley’s Memory is all about making mental health matter for young people.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to support us during these difficult times. Sadly, all our fundraising events have had to be cancelled due to Covid however you can still donate via the 'Donate' link at the top of the page.

We would particularly like to thank the following organisations for giving us grants so that we can continue to provide valuable support:-

National Lottery
Greggs Foundation
SDC Covid Fund
Groundworks
WE HAVE THIS GREAT BANNER WHICH IS DISPLAYED AT THE BASC GROUND AND HAS BEEN VERY GENEROUSLY DONATED BY ROGER WEST
We are a local charity based in Highbridge, Somerset. We work to support young people aged 11- 25 in a variety of ways. Our main support is through one to one counselling.
Mental Health is a very broad term used to cover a variety of issues but 1:4 of us will struggle with our mental health at some stage.
These are just a few areas where our Counselling team can offer support:

Anxiety

Depression

OCD

Relationships

Bereavement

Panic attacks

Low mood

Although there is now much more awareness so many of us struggle to talk about our mental health, maybe its fear of what people will say, or the fear you will be judged, or maybe you cannot put into words what you are feeling. You are not alone, We are here to help.

In Charley's Memory was founded in 2014. It is through fundraising events and the generosity of the public that allow us to reach our missions and therefore work towards the prevention of suicide in young adults. We aim to raise awareness of this invisible illness and reduce the stigma that surrounds mental health.
" Don't close the book when bad things happen, just turn the page and start a new chapter "
" One day you will tell the story of how you overcame what you're going through now, and it will be a part of someone else's survival guide "
" Even the strongest hands can lose their grip, the greatest minds become cloudy and the biggest of hearts can break.

So Be Kind. We are all human "
