Each year we have to raise £45,000.00 to keep the charity running and to continue to provide the service we do. The majority of this money comes from the:
Voluntary donations from individuals
Fund raisers who support our charity through various events
We do not receive any regular grants or funds but have in the past had the support of the:
Local town council
SPARK : Inspiring Communities
Grants from grant making trusts
Training courses and workshops which can provide continuing professional development.
Behind the scenes at In Charley’s Memory the team is made up of 2 paid members of staff, 13 counsellors/student counsellors, and an awesome team of volunteers as well as members of the board.
During the year ICM holds regular events
Annual ball: held in April an evening of celebrations and an opportunity to thank those that have supported ICM during the year.
Carnival: The West Country Carnival Circuits are an annual celebration featuring a parade of illuminated carts in the English West Country. The celebration dates back to the Gunpowder Plot of 1605. The purpose is to raise money for local charities.
Christmas fayre: once a year when the town switches the Christmas lights on we hold a small fayre selling all things Christmas. Small fee for a stall and a raffle prize, a lovely day leading up to Christmas
