I have issues with food

What?

Problems with food can come in a variety of forms, and can affect people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds. Problems can include limiting the amount of food eaten, eating large quantities at once, getting rid of food eaten through unhealthy means, or a combination of behaviours.

It’s important to keep in mind that problems with food are often not about the food itself, but feelings. Problems with food are never the fault of the person experiencing it, and anyone that has a problem deserves fast, compassionate support to help them get better.

Why?

There is no single reason why someone struggles with food. Some factors can include a person’s genetics, psychology, and their surroundings.

Not everyone will experience the same symptoms or problems, they will likely respond to treatment differently, and will often take a different amount of time to recover.
